Procedure
The procedure for joining the Network of
Associate Centers has several stages: 1. Start; 2. Quality Study;
3. Joint Agreement.
Stage 1. Start
Teaching centers wishing to join the Network
of Associate Centers must:
1. Send the
application
form initiating the procedure for joining
the Network to the Instituto Cervantes
2. Receive a reply from the Instituto Cervantes,
by email or fax, confirming that the procedure has begun.
3. Select an assessment body from one of the
recognized Assessment
Bodies, or the Instituto Cervantes itself,
through which to seek a quality study.
4. Set up a contract with this Body, having
declared that their center meets the minimum
requirements established by the Instituto
Cervantes, as well as the
legal conditions required for carrying
out teaching activities.
Stage 2. Obtaining a Quality Report
- The Assessment Body will make an inspection
visit to the center to assess different quality indicators.
- The assessment body will then issue a report
specifying the points obtained. This will be in duplicate: one
copy is for the Instituto Cervantes and the other is for the applicant
center.
Stage 3. Joint Agreement
The Instituto Cervantes subsequently rules
on whether to sign an agreement with the applicant center, through
which the latter would become an Associate or Accredited Center,
depending on its location.
Joint agreements are signed in the terms established by the Instituto
Cervantes.
Agreements are valid for three years. To renew agreements, centers
must apply for a new report fully eight months before their valid
agreement expires.
